Medical Aid
The great story of the Good Samaritanin Luke 10:25-37 is probably the most well know of Jesus’ parables. Not only does the Samaritan pick up the despicable destitute man ignored by others, he feeds him, cares for his wounds, carries him on his donkey, and covers the cost of lodging and recovery. Jesus’ teaching about these acts of care for others is paramount to life eternal.
“‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind; and love your neighbor as yourself.” Matt. 22-37
Loving your neighbour includes having mercy upon others and their situation. In the case of the good Samaritan, medical aid was one of the very important care components to the potential of this man’s recovery.
