Victims of Injustice

Injustice is a cry heard around the world in so many capacities. In deed many in our own Western communities can site an injustice they may have experienced or observed; yet we have vehicles available to make corrections. In many other places injustice is commonplace and just part of society. One of our Israeli partners works to find intervention measures to help folks who have suffered religious persecution and injustice due to the politics of coalition governments where freedom of religion is declared, but not always adhered to.

Walid Bitar in Ottawa directs a team on the ground in Lebanon to aid where possible, victims of the injustices enacted on the Syrian refugees living in Lebanese camps.

Sion Assembly Church Ministries in Vijayawada, India work to heal the wounds of people born into the caste system, a cultural injustice to many on the bottom rungs of Indian society.

Haiti is thought to be the most impoverished nation in the Western Hemisphere; this in stark contrast to its geographical neighbour, the Dominican Republic on the same island. Abuse by generations of corrupt leaders has robbed the people of personal safety, food security, decent housing, and human dignity through injustice.  The Brinstons seek to find ways to improve the lives of those people in their scope who have obvious limitations due to injustice.
